Temple of spring blue"- large, acrylic-on-canvas painting with exhibition and publication history, by premiere American Op-artist, Richard Anuszkiewicz (b.1930). Signed and dated 1985 on the reverse. Since his earliest days, Anuszkiewicz has had extraordinary success with the MOMA first purchasing his work in 1960. He has gone on to exhibit across the globe and his work is part of most major institutional collections. In New York alone, works by Richard Anuszkiewicz can be found in the following museums: the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Brooklyn Museum. His work is also included in the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, IL; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL; the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, DC; and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania.

In 2005 at the Florence International Biennale of Contemporary Art, he won the “Lorenzo the Magnificent Award” for career achievement.
