18th Century Paintings of Ottoman Empire Figures

A remarkable trio of 18th century, oil-on-copper paintings of, Ottoman Empire figures in colorful robes and accouterments, posing in European style landscapes. Each figure is labeled on the lower left, and reveals their rank in an elite infantry known as the Janissaires, a group that formed the Ottoman Sultan's household troops, and was the first modern standing army in Europe.
