Exceptional, Sunflower Time Piece

An extraordinary, period Restoration, ormolu and bronze sunflower timepiece, c. 1825. The clock set amidst radiant petals atop a curved stalk fitted with patinated bronze leaves, and surrounded by a delicate, gilded serpent above a faux planter with pierced parlor. From the collection of Raine, Countess Spencer, stepmother to Princess Diana. Note: clock not currently in working order
