Glamorous, Mid-18th Century, Venetian Door Surrounds

Pair of left and right, elaborately hand-carved, painted and gilded, undulating, wood door surrounds from a Venetian palazzo. The relief carving consists of scrolls, shell-like motifs and a pair of "icicles" which point toward the ground indicating the correct position for these pieces.
