Composer, painter and art teacher Riccardo Guarnieri was born in 1933, in Florence, Italy. Riccardo was first dedicated to music before he began to work as a painter, self-taught. In 1963, Riccardo founded the group Tempo 3 together with Giancarlo Bargoni, Attilio Carreri and Gianni Stirone. Among others, they were guided by the American Pioneer of color-field painting, Mark Rothko. From the late 1970s, Riccardo Guarnieri worked as an art teacher at the academies of Carrara and Florence. As an artist, Riccardo primarily faces up to the impact of large color fields in combination with geometrical forms.
