A refined example of 19th century Italian craftsmanship, this Tuscan commode is exquisitely constructed from hand-carved, ebonized walnut and burl with rich grain variation and depth. The three spacious drawers are adorned with striking contrasting pearwood inlay, creating intricate linear motifs that highlight the refined Neoclassical influence of the period. Raised panel sides and a stepped, bracketed base complete the architectural elegance of the piece.
Dating to circa 1880, this antique Italian commode is both a decorative statement and a functional storage solution. The carefully veneered surfaces and the warm, natural tones of walnut and pearwood make it ideal for traditional or transitional interiors. A standout addition to any bedroom, foyer, or study, it brings heritage, luxury, and artisan quality to today’s sophisticated living spaces.
