An exceptional 18th century Neapolitan pier mirror, hand-carved, gessoed, and finished in rich 22k gold gilding, dating to circa 1760. The frame is inset with its original dual panels of mercury glass, surrounded by intricate scrollwork relief, flowing carved vines in bloom, and crowned by a gilded foliate flourish with a central mercury glass medallion.
